Duo out on loan

James Davies

Boston United youngsters James Davies and Adam Rowntree have both joined local non-league sides on loan to gain first team experience.

Midfielder Davies has joined Bourne Town and made his debut in Easter Monday’s 3-2 defeat to Sleaford Town.

Meanwhile, striker Rowntree played twice for Brigg Town over the Easter weekend, as the Zebras drew 0-0 with Gresley Rovers and 1-1 with Goole Town.

Both Davies and Rowntree are chasing their first professional contracts at the Staffsmart Stadium, along with fellow second year players Ben Joyce, Mensah Kinch, Adam Millson and Lee Beeson, with decisions set to be made shortly.

Defender Michael Wood has already signed a professional contract this season.
