Michael Wood

Eighteen-year-old defender Michael Wood has put pen-to-paper on a new contract at the Staffsmart Stadium.

The youth team product, who made 10 first team appearances during his first campaign on the senior stage, has penned a contract extension.

Reflecting on the news, which follows hot on the heels of Wes Parker becoming the first outright signing of the summer, Boston boss Tommy Taylor told bufc.co.uk: “Woody is a great young talent and it was imperative that we secured his signature for next season.

“He was just starting to establish himself in the side when he sustained an injury, but he will get an opportunity to make himself a regular next season and I hope he takes the chance with both hands.”
