Season Ticket Prices
Boston United chairman David Newton has challenged supporters to “help us beat last year’s total” as the club prepare to begin selling season tickets on Thursday morning.
Mr Newton told bufc.co.uk: “We are delighted to announce the season ticket prices for the 2008-2009 season.
“We have responded to feedback, particularly from the recent fans’ questionnaire and offered incentives for youngsters and families to attend the Staffsmart Stadium during the forthcoming season.
“Single season tickets will be available as normal, while other offers have now been introduced, including adult and child packages for the Staffsmart Stand and all terracing areas.
“We recognise that affordability is key to attracting fans through the turnstiles and we have worked hard to accommodate families in particular.
“Under-16s can stand on the terracing from just £60 for the full season, which equates to less than £3 per match. That represents terrific value and should allow plenty of youngsters the opportunity to watch Boston United in action next season.
“We have also introduced family season tickets, comprising of one adult and one child, or two adults and two children. These prices also promote affordability and hopefully large numbers will take advantage of these excellent offers.
“To help people spread the cost, we have introduced ‘easy payment’ terms, where the cost of a season ticket can be spread across three months. This is in addition to the existing current ‘credit arrangement’ that allows payment over 10 months.
“We had fantastic support last season with over 600 season tickets sold, but we hope to beat that this season!
“We hope that the lower under-16s prices, together with the introduction of the family tickets and the ‘easy payment’ plan, will help us achieve that.
“To help ensure that the club moves forward on a sound financial footing, we need an average attendance of 2,000 at each home game. The new prices are aimed at achieving that, and as the club moves forward to a period of stability, we are looking for the fans and businesses of the town to help Neil and myself achieve that stability and start to bring success on the pitch.
“We have also introduced lower child prices, and family tickets, for matchdays which will help fans support the club on an ongoing basis.
“We had fantastic support last season, which is really appreciated, and things are starting to look brighter for the future (both on and off the pitch), so we can all look forward to the new season with real optimism.
“You were brilliant last season — thanks very much. Please come out and give us all the support you can for the season ahead.”
Season ticket sales will begin at 10.00am on Thursday.
