Community Day
Preparations for the Boston United Community Day on Sunday August 10 are progressing well.
Various attractions have already been pencilled in and the club are inviting other organisations to come onboard and showcase their products. Please contact Craig Singleton on (01205) 363264 or e-mail craig.singleton@bufc.co.uk for further details.
Community Day 2008 Sunday August 10th 2008 11:00 to 16:00
Entertainment Youngsters will be able to enjoy bouncy castles, various inflatables and battle against each other in novelty sumo suits. Items of play equipment will be available too. Youngsters will also be given the opportunity to win Boston United goodies by shooting at the FITC target goal.
Stadium Tour (11:00 onwards) Supporters will be able to go ‘behind-the-scenes’ in the tunnel area. The home and away dressing rooms, officials changing room, the laundry area and the physiotherapy room will all be open to the public for one day only.
Boston Bombshells Reunion (11:00 onwards) The Study Support Centre, Onside@BostonUnited, will be hosting a reunion for the ladies football team Boston Bombshells, who first played a competitive match in 1961. Please contact Oonagh Quinn on (01205) 312816 for further details relating to this event.
Grand Mural opening (12:00) The York Street entrance to the stadium has been decorated by a brand-new mural, courtesy of Onside@BostonUnited. The official opening, conducted by manager Tommy Taylor, will take place at noon.
Centre of Excellence coaching demonstration (13:00) Under-11s head coach John Thorogood will put his side through their paces in a coaching session on the York Street pitch.
Meet the Squad (12:00 to 14:00) United’s first team players will be in attendance between 12 noon and 2.00pm, available for autographs, photographs and general conversation with supporters.
Club Shop The United club shop will be open throughout the day, selling a range of club merchandise, including replica shirts sporting 75th anniversary embroidery.

There will be refreshments available from the snack bars inside the stadium and the Sports Bar on the York Street car park.
