Steve Melton
Midfielder Steve Melton will start for Boston United on Saturday when the Pilgrims entertain high-flying Guiseley at the Staffsmart Stadium (kick-off 3.00pm).
Melton was an unused substitute against Worksop Town on Wednesday evening, but manager Tommy Taylor has confirmed that his newest signing will start against second-placed Guiseley.
Striker Danny Matson could also make his United debut after recovering from a thigh problem, as the Pilgrims aim to bounce back from Wednesday’s disappointing home defeat.
Looking ahead to Saturday’s match, Taylor told bufc.co.uk: “We need to bounce back from Wednesday’s defeat and the lads are all determined to make amends for that result.
“Guiseley are one of the forms team in the division at the moment, but we need to improve on our last couple of performances and I am confident that we can pick up a positive result.
“Nobody likes losing, especially at home, and everybody is working hard to put things right.”
Guiseley are currently unbeaten after five matches and saw their midweek trip to Kendal Town abandoned during the first half, due to a waterlogged pitch.
Match referee at the Staffsmart Stadium on Saturday is Dave Plowright.
There will be full updates on bufc.co.uk from 3.00pm, plus team news from 2.15pm.
