Boston United are inviting entries for the club’s Santa Fun Run, which will be staged in Boston Town Centre on Sunday December 7.

The inaugural event was staged in 2007 and the club are hoping to build on the success of the race’s first running with even more entries in 2008.

Competitors are asked to raise sponsor money for taking part in the five-kilometre race, which was won by teenager James Munn in 2007.

COST
There is a registration fee of £10, which covers the cost of administration, public liability insurance and facilities needed for setting up the event. Entrants will receive a Santa Suit to compete in, a medal and a certificate. Should the competitor raise more than £50, the £10 registration fee will subsequently be refunded.

PAYMENT
Competitors can pay their £10 entry fee by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Cheques must be made payable to Boston United Football Club, while credit/debit card payments can be made by telephoning (01205) 364406.

RACE INFORMATION
Serious runners will start first, followed by joggers and then walkers. The times of serious runners will be recorded.

FIRST AID
There will be trained first aid crews on duty during the Santa Fun Run.

RACE HEADQUARTERS
Registration and race staff will be situated at the Wide Bargate entrance to Central Park.

SPONSORSHIP MONEY
Sponsorship money can be given in on the day at Race HQ. Please bring all used and unused sponsor forms with you. Sponsor money and forms can also be delivered to Craig Singleton, Santa Fun Run, Boston United FC, Staffsmart Stadium, York Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 6JN.

Sponsor forms will be stamped with confirmation of participation in the race.

PRIZES
There will be prizes on offer for the first male, first female, first under-16 and first under-11 competitors. Trophies will be handed out with these prizes.
