Boston United’s youth team boss Steve Welsh has selection options to contend with ahead of his side’s long trip to face Hartlepool United on Saturday afternoon, kick-off 1.00pm.
Defensive lynchpin Simon Ashton will be on first team duty for a third successive match, while the likes of Billy Oliver, Mitchell Griffiths and Ollie Maltby are still ruled out.
Centre-half Marc Day is also out of contention, but winger Nathan Thompson should make his comeback after a horrific knee injury sustained against Chesterfield in September.
As a consequence, under-16s players Matthew Greensmith, Jake Portas, Dominic Kew and Jason Field will all travel, with Kew hoping to add to the goal he scored in last week’s 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers.
