Steve Welsh joined Boston United in October 2005 in a joint role.
He was appointed as the club's new first team coach, in addition to a role within the Centre of Excellence. These duties were eventually turned into the role as head of youth, after Neil Richardson left York Street.
Welsh has therefore been overseeing the running of the club's Centre of Excellence structure, in addition to managing United's under-16s.
The 38-year-old enjoyed a glittering Football League career, which took in spells with Cambridge United, Peterborough United, Preston North End and Lincoln City, plus spells in his native Scotland with the likes of Partick Thistle, Dunfermline Athletic and Ayr United.
