Duo set for Spalding loan moves

Boston United youngsters Jon Fairweather and Nathan Thompson are poised to join UniBond Division One South neighbours Spalding United on loan.

The 18-year-old duo are set to sign for Alan Biley’s Spalding outfit to gain valuable first team experience.

United boss Steve Welsh told bufc.co.uk: “Jon and Nathan both need to get competitive UniBond football under their belts and joining Spalding allows them to do this.

“They will be given the opportunity to work with an experienced manager in Alan Biley and we will monitor their progress closely.”

Fairweather has made four first team appearances for the Pilgrims this season, while Thompson has appeared as a substitute on two occasions.

The pair were both unused substitutes for Boston at Cammell Laird on Tuesday.
