Paul Hurst was appointed the joint manager of Boston United on May 14, 2009.
He linked up with Rob Scott to jointly spearhead the Pilgrims’ management team, having helped Ilkeston Town achieve promotion via the UniBond Premier League play-offs at the start of May.
Hurst was a ‘one club man’ throughout his Football League career. The diminutive left-back appeared 496 times for Rotherham throughout the divisions currently known as the Championship, League One and League Two.
Hurst scored 16 goals for the Millers during his 15 years with the club.
He joined Burton Albion on loan in 2008 and helped the Brewers reach the semi-finals of the Blue Square Premier play-offs, before losing to Cambridge United.
Hurst joined Ilkeston in the summer of 2008 and was an ever-present for the Robins throughout their run to the play-off and Challenge Cup finals.
