Jamie Lawrence
Qualifications: FA “first 4” Sport level two coach, BSc Hons
Sports Development, HND Sports Science, BTEC Sports Science, BELA
Award, FA Emergency Aid Certificate, FA Child Protection and Best
Practice Certificate.
Football and coaching background: Jamie was a scholar at Grimsby
Town before being released several years ago. After his release, he
played for Boston Town and just recently Spalding United in the UniBond
League.
One of his recent coaching experiences in the summer of 2005 saw him go
to America for six weeks and during his time there, he learned a lot
and gained masses of experience, working with children of all
abilities. He also met some great people out there and he recommends
anyone interested in doing coaching to go to America. Jamie has also
worked with Cambridgeshire Council as a coach, which is working with
anti-social groups within a certain area. He has also had spells with
both Lincoln City and Grimsby Town Football in the Community schemes.
Away from work, Jamie still likes to play football at weekends, while
he also likes to participate in go-karting, socialising on Saturday
nights and overall enjoying doing most sports in his leisure time.
