Danny Sleath scored one and supplied one as Boston United edged out Retford United at Cannon Park on Tuesday evening.

Sleath opening the scoring with an excellent header, before delivering the corner from which Shaun Pearson nodded Boston’s winner.

Sleath discussed Boston’s brilliant away win and what the result meant for the remainder of the title race.

The midfielder also looked ahead to the forthcoming cup double-header against Curzon Ashton and Grantham Town.
