Fit-again Marc Newsham is looking forward to the Blue Square Bet North campaign — but admits Boston United must learn lessons from Tuesday’s pre-season friendly defeat to Stamford.

The Pilgrims were below-par against the Evo-Stik League outfit, but Newsham is confident United will get back on track during the remainder of pre-season.

Newsham is back in action following a thigh injury and is raring to go — and is hoping to add to his impressive tally of goals in 2009-2010.

Last season’s 29-goal striker looked ahead to Saturday’s trip to Belper Town.
