United XI beaten at Horncastle

Boston United Reserves

Mickey Stones struck for Boston United, but the Pilgrims’ mixed reserve and youth side lost 2-1 to Horncastle on Thursday evening.

The sides contested the John Rawdon Memorial Trophy at The Wong, with the home side edging out the Pilgrims by the odd goal in three.

The reserves are back in action on Friday night with a trip to King’s Lynn Town at the Walks Stadium, while the youth team travel to Louth Town on Saturday.

Adam Millson and Shane Clancy are likely to feature for the reserves at King’s Lynn.
